Bethany

Bethany is a multi-award-winning Forensic Canine Behaviourist who has specialised in Bull Breeds since 2010. In other words - Bull Breeds are HER THING!

After getting a certificate at the age of 14 for 'most likely to become a dog trainer' in her first dog's puppy classes, Bethany held that, framed it and took the token nod to a child's good effort and made some serious life choices. When rescuing Bonny, her first staffy, the day before her 18th birthday - that fire for fat-heads was well and truly lit, and there was no stopping her.

Her career began in rescue progressing to leading a team in assessment and rehabilitation. Since becoming self-employed in 2016, Bethany has gone on to win multiple awards for her work with Bull Breeds world wide.

Bethany is an expert witness in legal cases related to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and also an expert assessor for Fostering Agencies.

Bull Breeds are her passion and she shares her life with two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, an exempt Pitbull type and a Chihuahua who thinks she's a Pitbull.

Libbi

If you have ever met someone obsessed with learning (particularly learning about dogs), then x that by 100 and you may be almost close to understanding Libbi.

Alongside being The Queen of communication and her complete dedication to helping you and your dog get where you need to be, she is a truly a dog training geek. She catapulted herself into the dog training world after being frustrated at the ineffectiveness of the trainers she used with her own dog, who was a very challenging boy!

Being unable to find the right methods and approach for her own dog inspired her to become a dog trainer and prevent others from feeling the same disappointment she felt after countless wasted hours, finances and emotional investment working with trainers who just didn’t seem to be able to help.

Her expectations for you and your dog are very high - her pet peeve is seeing dogs not reach their full potential and being written off as simply having to be “well managed”. If you’re reading this - your dog’s potential is greater than you think it is and greater than you’ve been told by others!

Libbi also assists in legal assessments of dogs seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act and additionally runs pre and post adoption consultations for a number of rescues.

And behind every good Dog Trainer is the dog who helped them get there, and that hurricane is Arlo the Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is a bundle of fun that is held together by GRC Dog Sports (More on that in our Jurassic GRC page) and Libbi's incredible patience. Libbi has lived that adolescent bull breed life and so is incredibly empathetic when guiding you through similar challenges based on her own real life experience.

“We cannot recommend Libbi highly enough! She did 4 puppy training sessions for little Staffy girl Mia, and it has been the best decision! We spread the sessions across June and July to make sure we can practice in between. Libbi’s style is kind and positive, with good reinforcement and corrections where needed. Mia absolutely loved her lessons! Libbi is dedicated and passionate about dogs and training! We had a lot of practical advice and examples, first park walk at 12 weeks, lead walk for our little train pulling puppy (Mia is already showing progress!), how to deal with jumping, biting etc. Libbi also wrote personalised follow up reports with homework for us and send loads of useful tips and links.
We will definitely book more sessions once we’ve nailed all the homework we have for now. Thank you Libbi!”
